Through its oversight of maintenance and repair shops, Vehicle Operations (VO) not only helps to ensure that vehicles are safe and rental-ready but also works to get unrentable vehicles back into service quickly and cost-effectively, allowing Rental teams to hit their targets in customer service, growth and profitability. VO offers multiple career options—the handling of estimates in the Consolidated Desk Review (CDR) pathway or ensuring proper vehicle maintenance within Service Operations (SO). The opportunities are wide open for driven, talented people with a passion for fast-paced days filled with face-to-face interactions with outside suppliers, service technicians and Group leaders, all focused on safety, optimal speed of repair and appropriate spend.

Overview
VO Specialists manage relationships with collision repair, vehicle maintenance and roadside assistance suppliers, conducting negotiations and physical inspections for complex repairs on cars, vans, trucks and beyond. They monitor policies and procedures for repair and maintenance of the fleet and participate in initiatives to ensure that suppliers produce safe, quality repairs that comply with manufacturer repair standards. As conduits between Enterprise leadership and vendors, VO Specialists communicate repair updates and performance insights and ensure that operations have the right coverage and quality of service in their network of vendors.
